A NATURAL PSORIASIS TREATMENT
While there is no cure for the chronic skin disease known as psoriasis, which causes red, scaly patches (plaques) that take on a silvery-white appearance, there are treatments that bring about remissions of the disease. Recently, however, there has been evidence that a dark-blue plant used in traditional Chinese medicine appears to be effective in treating psoriasis. In fact, when indigo naturalis was used in ointment form to treat psoriasis patients, the treated lesions showed an 81 percent improvement. More than half of the treated patients who had psoriasis for at least two years had plaques that were nearly, or completely, cleared. Indigo naturalis has long been used in China and Taiwan to treat inflammatory diseases and various infections.
