YOUR AHA! MOMENT
If you are concerned about facial skin wrinkling, you have probably already familiarized yourself with any number of skin-care products containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs). These chemical compounds, which include glycolic (fruit) and lactic (milk) acids, have exfoliating properties. While concentrations of AHAs in over-the-counter products are limited to 10 percent or less, the higher strengths available in topical treatments prescribed by the dermatologist are likely to do a better job of smoothing skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
